Q: Why should I choose Pacific Senior Care?

A: We are committed to helping our clients stay independent in their own homes while exceeding their expectations. We treat each of our clients with honesty, integrity, reliability, respect and consistency while honoring their privacy, dignity, property and family customs. We pride ourselves in being an extension of your family.

Q: What kind of homecare services do you provide?

A: Our services include but are not limited to companion care, personal care, recovery care, medication reminders, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s & dementia care, disability services, respite care, transportation, errands, meal preparation, cooking, and light housekeeping.

Q: What areas do you provide services?

A: We currently provide care in all of Ventura County, Ojai, Malibu and the San Fernando Valley. Because we are a privately owned company, we are able to provide services as far as our caregivers are willing to travel.

Q: How do you select your caregivers?

A: During our 10-Step Screening Process, part of which includes meticulously checking caregivers for homecare experience, running E-verify to ensure they are legally able to work in the US and running a DMV check. Additionally, our caregivers must clear a criminal background check (which is run through the DOJ and FBI), pass a drug test and register as a California Home Care Aide.

Q: How do you supervise your caregivers, ensuring accurate time reporting?

A: Pacific Senior Care uses an advanced Real Time Caregiver Monitoring System that requires our caregivers to clock in and out through an app on their phone. The app is connected with GPS which allows us to effectively track hours and confirm attendance in real-time. Our system will notify us if a caregiver has not clocked in or out as scheduled. In addition, Pacific Senior Care conducts routine follow up calls, supervisory visits, and unannounced management quality assurance check-ins so our clients receive the best possible in-home care.

Q: Who pays the caregiver?

A: Pacific Senior Care does. All of our caregivers are employees who are bonded and covered by worker’s compensation, general and professional liability.

Q: Do I have to sign a contract to keep services for a specific period of time?

A: No! We are flexible to your needs and recognize that due to changing circumstances, you may need to increase or decrease services. We are here for you, whether you need us for one hour or 24 hours. All we ask for is 24 hr notice for any changes or cancellations, but we understand that emergencies happen and are willing to work with you.

Q: When can I get a hold of someone if I have questions?

A: If you need non-medical advice or have a personal care question, just call us anytime and you will reach a live person. We are here to take care of you or your loved one 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Q: How quickly can Home Care services start?

A: Generally services can be provided within a 48 hour period but it’s often possible to begin on the same day.

Q: What are some things you do for my community?

A: Pacific Senior Care understands the importance of giving back to the community we work and live in. We volunteer hundreds of hours every year by offering free meditation courses and supporting community services which improves the quality of life of seniors and others. We also support the education of underprivileged children by donating 5% of our net profits to registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
